Staff Physical Therapist Wanted

Professional background leading to career in health and wellness: 

My senior year in high school, I had an injury that prevented me from returning to sports.  Amid the frustration, I became very interested in the anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics regarding my recovery. I knew I was not the type of person to have a stereotypical desk job, and always wanted a profession involving movement, relationship building and helping others to be the best version of themselves. With all of this in mind, I chose to attend Sacred Heart University for Athletic Training, and then went on to the University of Florida for my Masters degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. While in graduate school I was the head athletic trainer at two local high schools, and gained so much from my athletes and peers.
After graduate school, I moved back to Maine and became the head athletic trainer at Gorham High School, which was an incredibly valuable experience. I learned so much about efficient clinic operations as well as the mentality of a young athlete.
Six years in Maine flew by and we decided to start a new chapter here in Rhode Island. I'm very excited to begin this new journey, and be a part of the NPT HealthWorks team.

What reasons you are passionate about helping others: 

My favorite line to say to athletes is "thanks for letting me be a part of your story". It is truly an honor to be trusted by our clients and to have a hand in their healthcare journey from start to finish and beyond. I love to assure clients to trust the process; to believe in themselves and their bodies, and that they can achieve any goal no matter how far away that may seem.

What do you enjoy in your free time:

I love being outside! I enjoy hiking, beach walks with my dog Marty, exploring new places and spending time with family and friends.
